Hearts, Minds & Hands Trilogy of Enterprise AI Transformation
The AI Pulse Check series is informed by the broader research underpinning John Harding's Hearts, Minds & Hands trilogy.
The books that form the Hearts, Minds and Hands trilogy provide and integrated and aligned understanding of how work and the employment relationship with change as a result of AI (in A New Bargain), reframing an understanding of the personal reinvention required (in HPOD: The Human Point of Difference) and how enterprises can strategically, sustainably and humanely transform in the AI powered workplace (in The Jinji Method).
Across the trilogy, AI is examined not simply as a technology, but as a force reshaping work, leadership, trust, human contribution and the future of enterprise. It considers AI through three complementary perspectives: the individual (Hearts), the employment relationship (Minds), and enterprise transformation (Hands). These works raise an important question:
How is society responding publicly to artificial intelligence?
The AI Pulse Check series seeks to answer that question through structured observation of publicly available information. Each Pulse Check examines how selected cohorts are engaging with AI in their public communications, providing an evidence-based snapshot of the evolving public conversation. While the questions explored by AI Pulse are informed by the themes and research of the
Hearts, Minds & Hands trilogy, the Pulse Checks are independent observational studies. They do not seek to validate the trilogy's perspectives or evaluate the quality of individual viewpoints. Rather, they document publicly observable engagement with AI using a consistent and transparent research methodology.
Together, the trilogy and the AI Pulse Check series provide complementary perspectives: one explores the strategic and human implications of AI transformation, while the other observes how that transformation is being reflected in public discourse across sport, business, entertainment and society.

Hearts
Hearts within Hearts, Minds and Hands represents the emotional connection to change.
This is where motivation and personal investment are reflected in a want or desire and commitment or 'buy-in' of employees to a change initiative.

Minds
Minds represents the intellectual framing of the enterprise AI transformation.

Hands
Hands reflects the transition of desire and intellectual rationale for change into concrete
actions.
Without this even the most heartfelt commitment and intellectual understanding remain merely theoretical.
